Dive into my most badass tips for unleashing your health, happiness, and success on the daily.
I want you to take a moment and think about how you spend your morning...
For most of us, our morning routine is the most consistent part of our day. We wake up at the same time, eat the same food (or we don't eat at all), and go through the same steps, day in and day out.
But by existing in this state of autopilot, we're missing out on a huge opportunity to set ourselves up for better choices, more energy, and a better mood all throughout the day.
See, our brains like congruency. So if we...
Do you ever feel like weight loss should not be so hard?
I agree.
I think the world of fad diets with all its contradictory advice has made it seem impossible to make the 'right' food choices.
Hell, if you listened to all the weight loss advice out there you wouldn't be able to eat sugar, meat, veggies, fruit, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, carbs, or fat... sooooo breatharian?
All of this confusing info has also made us hyper-focus on the things that really don't make...
Is there part of me that's embarrassed? Sure. The perfectionist in me doesn't want to admit that as a health coach I still have health problems.
But the truth is, I have 20 years of damage to make up for.
Just to give you a little background on me.
Can I be honest with you?
I love sharing, and teaching, and coaching health (in all its aspects) to you because of course I want to help you reach your goals.
Of course I want to help you avoid the struggles and roadblocks I faced.
Of course I want to hear your wins and see your successes.
But it's also because teaching makes me feel confident, and powerful, and safe.
When I'm in 'coaching mode' - as I usually am on this blog and in this podcast - there's a wall of protection around...
We’re all guilty of it. We tell ourselves half-truths, give ourselves little excuses, allow ourselves get-out-of-jail-free cards for why we can’t achieve our goals.
But if we can get brutally honest, we’ll realize more often than not that little voice isn’t a voice of reason. It’s a voice of fear. And it wants to keep you nice and safe in your beautifully designed comfort zone where nothing has to change, and yet the imagined future is full of possibilities and hope.
And these are some of...
We all have a version of ourselves we're trying to become: thinner, richer, healthier, happier, more motivated, more loving, more brave.
We know where we want to be, we know we aren't happy with where we are, but sometimes we can't figure out how to get from here to there.
It's one thing to make a change for a day, or a week, or a month. But how do you go from working out a few times here and there, to becoming someone who works out whether the motivation is there or not?
It's one thing to...
If I asked you, "What's the number one thing sabotaging people's health goals?" what would you say? Eating too much sugar? Not working out? Binging on the weekends?
Want to know my answer? It's our minds. It's the stories we repeat in our heads daily. It's how hard we are on ourselves. It's our shame.
It's the excuses we give ourselves that keep us in our comfort zone, away from the action, away from the possibility of failure.
It's the beliefs we hold about who we are and what we're capable of. It's...

Who wakes up every morning and goes through the motions of their day?
Who looks at their life and sometimes wonders with bafflement how did I get here?
Who walks around feeling utterly detached from their life, even from the good stuff?
Who thinks back to who they were before the fancy job, the husband, the kids, the house with the white picket fence, and...
If you have ever gone in search of a weight loss plan, you know there are thousands of programs to choose from that will present you different variations of the same advice: change your eating and up your exercise.
So, with all of these options (many with very sound advice), why do we continue to struggle with our weight?
Because, in my humble opinion and with almost 8 years of experience under my belt, I have found nutrition and fitness make up about 1/4 of a transformation. The rest? Mindset.
It's why in Fit for Life Academy...
