So, you want to know why you're dragging and lagging, even though you consistently get 7-8 hours of shut eye...
I totally get your frustration, that used to be me. I could get 12 hours of sleep and still practically be holding my eyes open.
I was desperate for an answer. I was young, I ate healthier than most people my age, I exercised; there was no obvious reason for this chronic exhaustion I was facing.
I was willing to do whatever it took to stop walking around like a zombie. But no one, not even the 8 doctors I went to, could tell me what to do.
If only I knew then what I know now.
Had I had this information sooner, not only would my college years have been a lot more eventful than spending my weekends curled up in bed with Sex and the City on repeat, but I might have never developed my autoimmune disease.
I might not have had to deal with adult cystic acne well into my 20's.
I might have had hormones that functioned properly.
I might have gotten to feel... normal.
And let me go ahead and give you a fair warning. Those energy aids you've been using, you know, the coffee drip in your arm, those energy drinks, the carb-loaded snacks, and sodas (oh sorry, diet sodas), are actually worsening the underlying problem.

You HAVE to heal your gut!
When you spend your life eating inflammatory foods, processed foods, sugar, and genetically modified foods, you are feeding the bad bacteria in your gut while destroying the good.
This can quickly lead to fungi like Candida growing out of control in your body, puncturing holes in your gut lining, causing leaky gut syndrome.
Sound like something out of a horror movie? It kind of is, and more people have it than they realize (up to 8 out of 10 people according to some studies).
When that happens, first of all your body isn’t able to absorb the nutrients from your food properly, which makes sense. Think about a bucket with a bunch of holes in it. You can pore in all the water you want, but inevitably a good amount escapes.
And guess what malnutrition leads to... you guessed it! Insurmountable fatigue!
But that isn't the only problem! As food particles seep into your blood stream through the holes in your gut lining, your body responds as if a foreign invader has infiltrated your body.
Your body's army goes to battle until the enemy can be contained. But it can't. The enemy will remain there until the damage to the gut has ceased and the holes are repaired. This constant battle your body is forging leads to chronic inflammation, and again, chronic fatigue.
So what on earth do you do if this is the state of affairs??
Go upstream and start at the source. Like way upstream. All the way up to your pie-catcher.
By doing both, not only will you know what foods are causing the inflammation, you'll be able to tell exactly what symptoms are related to what foods.
For example, my EverlyWell test told me I was sensitive to gluten, dairy, and corn. But only my elimination diet was able to tell me that gluten caused me to feel immediately run down, dairy made my face break out, and corn messed with my digestion.
Now I have to be honest with you, eliminating your problem foods is only the beginning. That’s cutting off ONE major source of damage, but you have a lot more holes to plug.
You might need to do a candida cleanse to kill the fungus that's been growing, unchecked, inside of you for who knows how many years.
You may need to do a gut healing protocol with different supplementation and healing foods.
