So, you want to know why you're dragging and lagging, even though you consistently get 7-8 hours of shut eye...
I totally get your frustration, that used to be me. I could get 12 hours of sleep and still practically be holding my eyes open.
I was desperate for an answer. I was young, I ate healthier than most people my age, I exercised; there was no obvious reason for this chronic exhaustion I was facing.
I was willing...
I have a confession to make.
I am an absolute, 100%, self-help junkie. And I have been this way for as long as I can remember.
I mean we're talking about buying confidence-building books in middle school while all my friends were enjoying tween magazines and vampire romance novels.
But I'll be honest, while I loved reading anything personal development I could get my hands on, it wasn't penetrating my daily life.
I would get all amped up about speaking up and being heard, and...
July. It seems like a good time for reflecting. We're half way through the year and can look back at our New Years resolutions and see if we need to get re-engaged with our goals, or maybe even set bigger ones.
But I wanted to look back further than New Years. See, this past week, I reached the end of my day-planner and I always find it fun to look back and see what I was working on a year ago.
And man you guys... I have failed a LOT over the past 365 days. I mean, almost everything I was...
I remember back in the day when I worked out twice a day 5 days per week, I watched everything I ate, I got plenty of sleep, and I could NOT seem to drop the stubborn pounds that had settled around my midsection.
And as someone who was fascinated by health and fitness throughout my entire life, it was extra frustrating that I was so stumped.
To make an extremely long story short, my problem turned out to be my hormones and my stress levels. Once I got my thyroid numbers in check,...
I cannot begin to tell you how many conversations I have had about alcohol lately.
Friends, clients, and family are all coming to me with the same stories and the same problems. Tell me if you can relate...
They're working on their fitness goals, they're working to lose weight, or they're looking to just live a healthier lifestyle.
They're getting their workouts in, they're eating well, and they're getting decent sleep, but there's one problem.
Every single time they go out with their...

When Bryan and I first started dating 3 years ago, we were in very similar places.
We were both entrepreneurs, foodies, and fitness junkies.
We both had a history of dating narcissists and were looking for a healthy relationship.
And we both loved taking random Tuesday afternoons off to walk the Katy trail, catch a movie, or find a place to practice some acroyoga.
How do you start your morning each day?
Do you reach for your phone before your eyes fully open?
Do you throw on your make up while chugging coffee and running through your to-do list for the day?
Do you absently kiss your spouse on the way out the door?
Do you run through the drive-through because you didn’t have time to make your breakfast, again?
I’ll be honest, I used to not give much thought to my morning routine either. The morning was just a necessary pit stop between sleep and work.
You guys know I talk a lot about unleashing your inner bad ass warrior.
But what the heck does that even mean??
I mean, it's nice to say and all, and it sounds cool, but seriously, how do you go from just living your life, going through the motions, following all the rules, to stepping into your bad ass warrior identity? Especially if you don't feel much like a bad ass warrior.
Sister... I got your back.
Which is why today I'm going through the 11 steps, or the 11 commandments if you will, of owning your inner bad...
Sorry there's no training video, the recording didn't work... but read below for the recap!
Oh boy, here we go, we're talking money. One of the things you neeeeeever talk about at the dinner table. Or certainly one of the things I should never talk about, right??
I mean who am I to talk about money? I'm not a financial advisor, I have no official experience or credentials unless I get it through osmosis from my dad, the CFO.
And yet, I am 27 years old, I have substantial savings, no debt, and I've built a 6 figure...
I had such an interesting conversation with one of my clients the other day; it had me both surprised, and also really wanting to write this for you today.
She told me how she was really enjoying going on these long, 3-5 mile walks lately. But as she said it, she was sort of chuckling to herself.
When I asked her why she was giggling, she told me her reason for loving those walks was really kind of ridiculous and embarrassing. Of course now I had to know.
"It's because I've been daydreaming."
